I often get spectators when I am building, and most are reasonably well-behaved, but this one stood out.<div><br /></div><div>After noting my long black hair and olive-brown skin, she offers her appraisal:</div><div><br /></div><div>Ewww... Your av looks... Mexican!</div><div><br /></div><div>Which, IMHO, is a good thing, because my av is closely modeled on my RL appearance. I also happen to be Mestiza in RL, so this seemed like a natural choice for me. It was also a chance to show off my RL self in a (mostly) safe way.</div><div>My visitor was clearly unprepared to see a Latina chick in a world filled with furries, men pretending to be women, robot avs, and girl avs with fairy wings.</div><div><br /></div><div>So, does that mean that being Latina is more far out than being a half wolf creature? I hope not.</div><div><br /></div><div>I honestly think her head would have exploded had she read my profile, which is in Spanish as well as English.
